Washington, D.C. – Partnership for Conservation (P4C) chairman and president Robert Ramsay issued a statement applauding the bipartisan passage of the Great American Outdoors Act by the U.S. Senate Wednesday.
“P4C applauds senators for working across party lines to pass this landmark legislation that will strengthen conservation efforts and provide for the upkeep of America’s national treasures,” Ramsay said. “The Great American Outdoors Act will help tackle a backlog of maintenance projects necessary to protect the integrity and accessibility of America’s national parks and dedicate $900 million on an annual basis to the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).”
“The LWCF provides critical resources to enable recreational access for Americans to enjoy the outdoors and supports conservation efforts vital to protecting vulnerable ecosystems and landscapes,” Ramsay continued. “We encourage members of Congress to build on this bipartisan momentum by passing this important bill in the House and by supporting solutions to enhance the integrity and accessibility of market-based conservation incentives.”
